Happy Birthday Ashley!

January 19, 2010

Ashley's birthday was on Tuesday, and Whitney planned a girls' dinner for her at Andalu. It was also $1 tuna tartare tacos and Dine About Town, so it was a treat!

MLK Jr Long Weekend

January 18, 2010

Going back to work after the holidays was tough, but thank goodness for another long weekend.
On Friday night, the girls came together for a ladies' night at Katharine's place. It was going to be Wendy's last girls' night, as she made the big decision to uproot and relocate her life in Boston.

On Saturday, I spent the day with Gail hanging out at the Ferry Building Farmer's Market and running errands in Union Square. On Saturday night, Will and I had dinner with Ian and Catherine at Mission Beach Cafe (fantastic sturgeon entree!).

It turned out to be quite the Mission Beach weekend, as we went back there for brunch on Sunday.

On Sunday afternoon, Will, Key, JoJo and I went to Kabuki to see Avatar in 3D. Awesome.

On Monday, Will and I headed down to Santa Clara to have dinner with Angie and the cute family before we headed to the Sharks vs. Flames game.

We had pretty sweet seats:

The game turned out to be quite the shellacking, the Sharks took down the Flames 9-1, and it was one of the fastest games I've been to (done in ~2 hours, 40 minutes). It was great to see San Jose rock the house, but I was sad for my Flames, I wanted it to be a better game. Alas...

Hope you all had a fantastic MLK long weekend!

Hello 2010!

January 1, 2010

And hello 2010!

It was a short but nice sleep-in on the morning of the first day of 2010. Will and I hauled our butts across the Bay Bridge to Alameda for brunch hosted by Triple A.
The boys were let loose in the kitchen and they whipped up some awesome smoked salmon eggs benedict...yum! (We brought the mimosas...:)

Aisha checking out my newsletter:

Aisha got a toddler-friendly digicam from Santa this year, and check it out, she has her own blog now (chronicling her artistic photographic eye).

Thanks to Triple A for an awesome New Years Day brunch! Happy New Year!

So Long 2009!

January 1, 2010

It's been a great week off so far. I've been ticking off my to-do list and taking care of business, mostly at home. It hasn't been glamorous, stuff like cleaning and re-organizing the storage and laundry areas, dropping off donations at Goodwill, getting new tires, getting new tires aligned, cleaning out the kitchen pantry, composting expired food, etc. etc.

I was happy for NYE to roll around. Ashley, Paul and Gia were kind enough to host a NYE par-tay, so we were psyched to catch up with everyone in their dressy garb.

I hope you all had a festive and wonderful ringing in of the new year...adios to 2009!
