Equinox

I was in Washington, DC (hot and sweaty!) for a couple days for a work meeting, and in between work days, our team had a dinner at Equinox Restaurant. Equinox is the creation of husband and wife team Todd and Ellen Gray, with Chef Gray being the recipient of many culinary awards.
I started with the West Coast Pacific Kiss Oysters (with canary melon, cucumber and watermelon granita and fresh coriander buds)...so good:
For dinner, I had the hand cut fazzoletti with poached lobster, fresh fava beans, Charred Farm corn, and smoked bacon:
Dinner was fantastic and was a nice treat between work days!

Ashley's Tahoe Bach

On Friday, Wendy, Sandy and I headed up to Tahoe City to meet up with a gaggle of girls for the weekend for Ashley's bachelorette. We got there just in time to join the bridal shower:
For dinner, we headed to Jake's on the Lake:
A little carousing and then back at the house:
On Saturday, we headed over to the Truckee River where Shelly and Adam took us on a couple rafts down the river:
Super good times on the river, and a gorgeous day! We headed for post-rafting drinks at the River Ranch:
Lots of fun girl times all weekend, and it was Sunday, all of a sudden.
Congratulations, Ash! Looking forward to the big day!

Rhys Darby...Present!

On Wednesday night, Will and I met up with Robert and had some drinks and food at Comstock Saloon. From there, we met up with Sue Hee, Beth and Elias to catch Rhys Darby at Cobb's Comedy Club.
Rhys Darby is known for his portrayal of "Murray" on HBO's "Flight of the Conchords", and was hi-larious!

AIDSWalk 2011

On Sunday, JoJo and I took a little jog from my hood through the panhandle to GG Park to join Robert, Sue Hee, Yogi, Sandy, and Bill for AIDSWalk 2011. Robert was a "Super Starwalker" again for the 25th anniversary of the event.
It was a gorgeous day for the walk and congrats to Robert and his big fundraising chops!
