On Saturday night, my friends took me out for dinner and fun for my birthday (on Sunday). Whee!
For dinner, we went to
PPQ Dungeness Crab, a Vietnamese Restaurant that's a local favorite (secret?), well-known for its various dungeness crab dishes. As we were a big group, we had the pre-planned set menu and all dug in with our "Let's Get Crackin'" bibs:
- Imperial Rolls
- Papaya Salad with Beef
- Roasted Crab
- Peppercorn Crab
- Five Spices Chicken
- Steamed Shitake Sea Bass
- Braised String Beans
- House Garlic Noodles
- Shaking Beef
My faves: imperial rolls, five-spiced chicken, sea bass, garlic noodles, and the roasted crab. Yumm!

Vicki was also in town, and I was so excited when I also saw Ashley, she happened to be in town for the holidays and surprised us by showing up to dinner!

Dessert was a delicious chocolate mousse and pecan cake from
Blissful Bites. Delish!

After dinner, most of us headed over to Japantown to sing karaoke at
Playground. Wendy had booked us a big private room, so we could sing to our heart's delight.

Karaoke was awesome, in addition to my favorite all-time song to sing of "Don't Stop Believin" by Journey, honorable mentions for best group participation and most fun go to:
- "We Built This City" by Jefferson Starship
- "Island in the Sun" by Weezer
- "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor
Hilarious times!

Thanks to everyone who were able to make it, the dinner was fantastic and the karaoke was too much fun. I heart my friends!
