A little while ago, Ian had the big idea that he, Will and I should do a triathlon relay. Ian would swim, Will would bike, and I would run. Catherine was already signed up for the Olympic distance of the 2011 Marin Triathlon, and conveniently, they included a Relay component for the first time this year. So...why not, right?
We were thankful for the extra hour of sleep due to the change in daylights savings time, and we headed early to McNears Beach in San Rafael for the tri.
In the end, BWI Social Club finished the course in ~2:52, and we took second place...hooray for the first year of the relay event!
Thanks to Ian for captaining BWI Social Club, it was fun to get involved and see a triathlon in action. Great job to Catherine who did the entire race and killed it!
