On Friday night, Will and I went on a quad-date with Robert, Sue Hee, Tuttle, Susan, Sara and Big E. We all headed to an obscure little theatre in a random building at the end of Potrero Ave called Xeneodrome Theatre for "Point Break Live!".
This is no joke, although it is really funny. It's the live-action play version of the 1992 film "Point Break" starring Keanu Reeves, Patrick Swayze, Gary Busey and Lori Petty. It has gained cult-like status over the years and some fools decided to bring it to the stage. The best part of this play is that the role of "Johnny Utah" (played by Keanu in the film) is cast from the audience reading their entire script off of cue-cards. According to the website: "This method manages to capture the rawness of a Keanu Reeves performance even from those who generally think themselves incapable of acting." This play has had extended runs in Seattle, Minneapolis, Brooklyn, Manhattan and Hollywood.
So, we find this obscure theatre in the middle of nowhere Potrero and as soon as we enter, we are greeted with a guy offering to sell you a poncho for $1. My advice to you if you go is to buy it, you're going to need it.

I won't spoil the surprises and fun for you, but it was too much fun, two hours of hilarity.
If you get a chance, go check out "Point Break Live!", but I highly recommend you check out the film version before going to refresh your memory with some of the very deep and spiritual lines in the film like "Icaught my first tube today... Sir.", and "Bodhi, this is your f*$#ing wake-up call man. I am an F, B, I, Agent!".
